Pro-Tip: The secret to unlocking the absolute brightest, most metallic shine from Silk PLA is all in your speed and temperature! To get that mirror-like luster, you need to melt the plastic thoroughly and lay it down gently. Increase your hotend temperature by 5°C to 10°C higher than your normal PLA profile, and slow your outer wall speed down to 30-40 mm/s. Printing hot and slow allows the silk additives to flow perfectly, resulting in a breathtakingly shiny final model!
